Milwaukee Brewers t-shirts celebrate Ryan Braun “Innocence”

“I’m not that innocent.” Those are the words of the noted Southern American philosopher Britney Spears. And the phrase applies to Milwaukee Brewers slugger and 2011 NL MVP Ryan Braun.

But Ryan Braun is innocent when it comes to PEDs. Or at least he’s not guilty. And a t-shirt company appealing to Brewers fans has something to say about it- using the medium of cotton and polyester.

They released these t-shirts in April of 2012. They probably feel pretty stupid about Ryan Braun today.

Chicago Cubs Manager Dale Sveum: More Detailed Biography

Dale Sveum was named the manager of the Chicago Cubs for the 2012 season. This is after he has been a coach in the majors for most of the last decade. Sveum has two World Series rings, one in 1998 with the Yankees and one in 2004 with the Red Sox.

Chicago Cubs New Manager: Dale “Sick Facial Hair” Sveum

During his MLB playing career, Dale Sveum was known for his “Sick Facal Hair.”As a young man he sort of resembled what would happen if Matthew McConaughey and  Jeff Foxworthy had a child.

Sveum also had the distinction of playing for five different managers who would eventually win a league Manager of the Year Award. They were Tony La Russa (’83, ’88, ’92, ’02), under whom Sveum played in Oakland, Joe Torre (’96, ’98), in New York, Lou Piniella (’95, ’01, ’08), in Seattle, Jim Leyland (’90, ’92, ’06) in Pittsburgh, and Gene Lamont (’93) with the Milwaukee Brewers and Pittsburgh Pittsburgh.

For those of you drinking Cubbie Kool-Aid, I’ll go ahead and post what you’re already thinking “maybe he learned a lot about leadership through osmosis from these guys, and we’ll see that as he leads the Chicago Cubs.”

2011 NLCS Milwaukee Brewers Heading into Beast Mode

The 2011 MLB season has been a memorable one for the Milwaukee Brewers, from Prince Fielder and Ryan Braun‘s clutch hitting to Yovani Gallardo and Zach Greinke dealing on the mound, from John Axford‘s lockdown relief work to T-Plush‘s goofy antics.

Packers, Badgers Undefeated, Brewers Dominating NLDS, Cheeseheads on Fire!

Last year, sports fans in America’s Dairyland probably thought things were as good as they could possibly get. But 2011 is looking a whole ‘nother level can be reached. You have the #5 Badgers at 5-0, the reigning Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers as one of the NFL’s two undefeated teams (the Detroit Lions are the other), and the Milwaukee Brewers about to eliminate the Arizona Diamondbacks in their NLDS series.

Sure, the Bucks are still a train wreck, but the NBA is on lockout, so we won’t really see that.

Yes, there’s something in the water right now; and the state is half-bordered by great lakes.
