Last night I was lucky enough to be at a small private reception that included Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delany. Yes, I was at the same party as the most powerful man in the prestigious college basketball and college football league. Delaney's a University of North Carolina alum, and this was a Chicago Carolina Club gathering at Japonais, a downtown restaurant located a few … [Read more...] about Going Inside Big Ten Network Headquarters, Conference Expansion Rumors

After angering the entire Midwest, Big 10 commissioner Jim Delany will reconsider the division names Legends and Leaders for the Big 10 Conference. Big Ten Media Day 1 Wrap Up – Bigwig Edition

August 3, 2010 By paulmbanks

While the coaches were guilty of a lot of your typical coach-speak -- interjected with humor and frivolity too, though -- the heavy hitters at the first day of Media Day were certainly Bill Carollo (the Big Ten Coordinator of Officials), Mark Silverman (The Big Ten Network President) and Jim Delany (the Big Ten Conference commissioner). Carollo and Silverman were two of the … [Read more...] about Big Ten Media Day 1 Wrap Up – Bigwig Edition
