Jay Cutler “DON’T CARE!” story goes mainstream

(UPDATE: Jay Cutler and FOX Sports both release statements announcing the former QB has retired and thus become a broadcaster; and a social media backlash ensues)

If you don’t like Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler, you will now, because this story makes Jay Cutler a million times more likable.

It’s taken over three years but…the underground, urban legend of Jay Cutler has finally gone mainstream. For years, my friends and I have discussed this AWESOME story. I’ve hinted about knowing it in past articles, but never published any details.

Well here it is in all it’s glory:

Fiance of Jay Cutler, Kristin Cavallari picture gallery

The fiance of Chicago Bears Jay Cutler Kristin Cavallarri hasn’t been in the news much lately. She had a baby. And she did some reality shows a couple years ago or something. Emo QB Jay Cutler has become a polarizing figure here in Chicago, but everyone likes his wife Kristin Cavallari.

Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler have had a very on and off again relationship. They were engaged and then…

Now ex-Fiance as 7/24/11, if you haven’t heard the news go here

Now fiance again, as being reported by multiple outlets.

ESPN finds Jay Cutler at fault for Robert Griffin III injury

ESPN continues to dumb down it’s audience and make people less informed about sports.  Today the network actually posed this question for its panel: “How much do you blame Jay Cutler for RG III’s injury?” Yes, this is not parody but a serious attempt at “journalism” by the WWL. What a way to “cover” the Robert Griffin III surgery that took place today.

Jay Cutler concussion leads to Chicago losing their collective #$%&

jay cutler

Thank god the last 12 people tweeted about Jay Cutler’s concussion. Because I didn’t get the memo from the first 20 tweets discussing the matter. Yes, Cutler is gone for the evening. He left the Sunday Night game versus the Houston Texans in the 3rd quarter and isn’t coming back. Jason Campbell is in.

Which means this is all we’re going to hear about for the next few days or so.

Jay Cutler endorses Mitt Romney for President

The polarizing Chicago Bears quarterback just made himself more polarizing. Jay Cutler has chosen a side politically; ignoring the longstanding unwritten rule for athletes “just shut up and play.”

Today he appeared on his weekly segment, the “Jay Cutler Show” on WMVP-AM ESPN 1000, and he was asked by co-host Tom Waddle about his voting preference: Mitt Romney or Barack Obama.

Bears Jay Cutler upset with Mike Tice (video)

Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler is becoming known as a quarterback who wears his emotions on his sleeves. He’s comfortable expressing himself, and getting a little more colorful this season; or so it seems. During last night’s blow out of the Dallas Cowboys, Cutler had some disgust with offensive coordinator Mike Tice, and walked away when Tice was trying to discuss strategy with him

Kristin Cavallari: “DWTS Clearly Not a Dancing Competition”

Kristin Cavallari was shockingly shown the door on Tuesday night’s elimination episode of Dancing with the Stars.

“That’s the thing with Dancing with the Stars, you never know,” she said, laughing. “It’s clearly not a dance competition!” as quoted in US magazine.

And this happened with Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler in the audience watching. Now I DON’T CARE enough to try and fact check (or link out for verification) on this but apparently they’re back together?

Bears Jay Cutler Attends Dancing with the Stars, Supporting Kristin Cavallari?

Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler had a rough day yesterday. Sure, he got a win- over one of the NFL’s worst teams, but he had an ugly 46.3 passer rating in a putrid under .500 completion, barely over 100 yards passing day.

Well his Monday seems more interesting, as Cutler supposedly flew to Los Angeles and attending tonight’s “Dancing with the Stars” to support ex-fiance Kristin Cavallari.

Bears QB Jay Cutler-Kristin Cavallari Wedding is OFF! Congratulations to Both!

Wow, I can’t get over how many things I have in common with Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler these days: being an aloof, arrogant a**hole, being proud of being such an a**hole, failing to become a Super Bowl quarterback in life and now…and engagement that never even made it to the wedding.

That’s right Cutler, everyone’s favorite TOUGH GUY quarterback applied the breaks on his relationship with “star” of “The Hills” (can I get bigger air-quotes for this situation?) Kristin Cavallari. Apparently, Jay had second thoughts as the couple has been squabbling more and more (I have a GREAT off the record story for you on that, I saw it go down outside La Trattoria in April). But it did seem kind of fast, getting engaged after just six months of dating.

Kudos to both of them for doing this now, and avoiding divorce court later.

But you can check out lots of photos of Cavallari here

Cavallari’s Twitter account has been silent on the matter thus far.

Jay Cutler’s Aloofness leads to misperceptions about his character

Why did Jay Cutler come off SO POORLY yesterday after his injury? Why is he receiving no sympathy despite his MCL tear?

Start with his stoic personality. Whether things are going well or poorly, he just doesn’t publicly display emotion very much. Some people are like that. Maybe he’s just shy, or maybe he’s a douche who just doesn’t care. We can’t say, but either way, to not display any emotion at all in the game which gets you an invite to the Super Bowl is a bit odd. Especially given the exciting nature of the game and the roller coaster of emotion that accompanies it.

You’d think if YOUR team came back from the dead with the unlikeliest of scenarios, a third-string QB leading them, YOU might be a bit excited when you’re just one play way from tying it and forcing overtime.

Chicago Bears 2011 NFL Draft Preview

Last year’s NFL Draft was pretty boring for you- the Chicago Bears fan. No first round pick because of the Jay Cutler trade, but this week should be much more interesting. Despite having such a successful season that yields Chicago picking #29, the Bears have plenty of needs: safety, center, wide receiver, and most overwhelmingly of all- OFFENSIVE LINE!

Specifically tackle, although don’t be shocked if they first look to the other side and take a d-tackle to shore up their weaknesses inside.

Since Tommie Harris is gone, someone like Baylor’s Phil Taylor or Illini stud Corey Liuget could be there when they’re on the board.
