Something happened this week in the NFL that hasn’t happened in 149 weeks- no former Miami Hurricanes scored a touchdown. Yes, think about what an amazing streak that is. To quote Miami Sound Machine and Gloria Estefan “1, 2, 3….I’m just going to keep on counting...”
The big boy Vince Wilfork from the New England Patriots was the last home on Monday night was the final hope, but there was no pick-six or forced fumble.
I got this factoid from NFL Network, so I can’t verify that the streak is a record, but it’s gotta be! Who else could come close to a streak like that? The U. has produced a large group of NFL players (some of which probably took a pay cut when they came into the league, hey hey! Thanks Nevin Shapiro, you’ve been great) on par with that of any University. Miami also had a record home streak spanning two decades.
