Here’s a Sports Reporter who Shouldn’t be Given a Microphone

I’ve never heard of Young Hollywood.com‘s Michelle Marie until I saw this linked on Yardbarker, and I hope I never hear from her again. Although I appreciate the Reggie Cleveland All-Star team quality of her name/ethnicity, I hope for her sake she never does another sports interview again.

Here’s an excerpt and link from Celtics Town.com

This was just your average, run-of-the mill interview. I would have been entirely bored by it if I wasn’t impressed with Rajon; he handled a dumb question (“how has [Michael Jordan] really influenced you as a player over the years?”) like a champ. If I were Rajon I would have said, “Well, umm, I’m a 6’1? pass-first point guard. Our games are literally nothing alike.” But Rondo handled it with grace. I was proud of his media savvy. Then came the inevitable Miami Heat question and Rondo saying, yet again, that he’s the NBA’s best point guard. Yawn.

I wouldn’t agree that’s run-of-the-mill. I think it was awful. The unprofessional “I’m a Lakers fan,” the bizarre comment about the size of his hands, and the tired questions with predictable answers that even a really bad beat reporter for a student daily would be smart enough not to ask.

Ms. Marie, just stick to celebrity fluff please from now on.
