Golden State Warriors Favored in NBA Finals, Curry and Durant MVP Favorites

Westgate Las Vegas has opened with the Golden State Warriors as clear favorites over the Cleveland Cavaliers. The bookmaker site positions the Warriors at -240 and the Cavaliers at +200. That means Westgate believes Golden State has about a 67-70% chance of taking the series, while the Cavs have a 33-30% chance of repeating as champions.

In other words, betting on the Golden State Warriors would be comparably mathematically to the house advantage in a game of Keno, while going with the Lebron and his men gives you roughly the same chances you’ll have in a well played hand of playing Texas Hold’em. Old Havana Casino offers plenty of options regarding online casino games, like slots, table games and video poker, just in case you prefer to bet on something other than sports.

The NBA Finals also brings along opportunities for prop betting. One major prop bet is for NBA Finals MVP, and the Golden State Warriors are favored in this regard too. For this we go back to the Las Vegas Superbook at the Westgate. Warriors Steph Curry and Kevin Durant are the co-favorites to claim the award at 9-5, but LeBron James is right behind at 9-4. Lebron is heading to his seventh straight NBA Finals, but Reggie Miller had a lot to say about his teammates strong performances throughout the last series:

“This is the best I’ve seen Kevin Love, especially at the offensive end. He is so engaged. He’s not looking at Kyrie [Irving] or LeBron [James] and saying, ‘Is it my turn yet?’ He’s being aggressive and initiating a lot of this offense.”

Irving is next on the odds sheet at 10-1, followed by Draymond Green of GSW at at 12-1. Cleveland’s Love is tied with Golden State’s Klay Thompson at 40-1.

Chris Webber on Kyrie Irving’s hot scoring stretch last night:

“He reminds me of a guy I played with – Rod Strickland. You just looked at him like, ‘How did you finish that shot?’ Taking it up, moving so much and getting the contact. He’s such a good finisher.”
