It’s the international break, and thus a much less relevant and interesting time for footy news. However, there are a few captivating Manchester United features and stories circulating in the Twitterverse, blogosphere, cyberspace and media world. A truly compelling narrative revolves around Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic and why he decided to choose the English Premier League at this time.
Ibrahimovic has accomplished much and won some big prizes in Italy, Spain, France and more. Now he’s adding England and Manchester United to his resume.
The main reason he made the move? His new manager Jose Mourinho.
“I was close two times to moving to the Premier League — once with Arsenal and then Manchester City,” Ibra told the media. “But it never happened and I don’t need to play in the Premier League.”
“He (Mourinho) is the mastermind, the masterbrain. He knows what he needs to do to win. I learned a lot from him at Inter. Who wouldn’t want to have Mourinho as manager?”
Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the special one have developed a very special relationship, forged when the duo worked together at Inter Milan in 2008-09.
