Predicted Liverpool FC Starting XI vs Plymouth (FA Cup)

Liverpool opens up their FA Cup campaign on Sunday when they host Plymouth Argyle. Liverpool welcomes the League 2 side after conceding two penalties in a 2-2 draw at Sunderland.

Jurgen Klopp will most likely be making several changes to his line-up, using the opportunity to get some rest for his big names.

Loris Karius should return to the net for the Cup tie, giving Simon Mignolet a break after Mignolet has re-taken the No. 1 spot. Karius struggled in his last few appearances, but this should be a good opportunity for him to try and regain some confidence.

In the back-four, Trent Alexander-Arnold should get on the right, giving Nathaniel Clyne a break. James Milner suffered a little bit of a knock against Sunderland, and Alberto Moreno will get the start in his place. Klopp will have some options at centerback. He could play Lucas Leiva or Joe Gomez, but playing the pairing of Lovren and Klavan gives him some experience.

Here is the link to the Liverpool match fitness/injury report.

Emre Can, Lucas and Kevin Stewart will be the three midfielders. Lucas will be in the normal No. 6 role that has been held down by Jordan Henderson throughout the year. This will be a good opportunity to get some experience for Stewart, who has shown promise in his limited action this year.

Sadio Mane is off to the African Cup of Nations, where he will be gone for the next month. Along with injuries to Philippe Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge, that limits the possibilities for Klopp. The youngsters Ovie Ejaria and Ben Woodburn should get their opportunity to start with Origi. Sheyi Ojo is also a possibility, but he is still coming back from injury and may be a better option off the bench.
