Morgan missed the first nine games of the regular season due to an ankle injury, making her first start and appearance for Thorns FC in 2014 on June 7 against Western New York. However, she’s obviously come back strong, convalescing to full health as she was named the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) Player of the Week recently.
Alex Morgan is no doubt the face of American soccer, and the most important player on the U.S. Women’s National Team as they head into the 2015 World Cup in Canada, hoping to win our nation’s first World Cup since 1999.
