Tottenham Hotspur’s all out blitz to bring in Southampton Manager Mauricio Pochettino as their new boss could come to fruition by the end of today or tomorrow. Just three days ago there was news that Pochettino would remain the Saints boss.
Metro had published reports of him turning down the extra money and additional exposure of White Hart Lane to stay in Southampton another year.
Now the future of Mauricio Pochettino is extremely cloudy. Jay Rodriguez even made comments that hinted it were so.
Daniel Levy, Chairman for the North London is supposedly going to have an announcement within the next 48 hours of the new Manager. The Daily Star says that Spurs are in advanced talks with the Argentine, and that Mauricio Pochettino is the overwhelming favorite to land the new White Hart Lane managerial job.
Ajax’s Frank de Boer is certainly in the running too. Spurs will try to end their search for a successor to Tim Sherwood, himself a stop gap replacement for Andre Villas-Boas as quickly as possible. They need to make moves in the transfer market this summer. Mauricio Pochettino is probably the guy to make all the deals that would push the club up to the top. His appointment could be very well received.
