Ronald Koeman’s future at Barcelona is anything but certain. Recently, a documentary aired on several streaming services which revolved around the life of the former player and now coach. There was a huge revelation made by Koeman during that documentary.
Considering that Barcelona hasn’t been obtaining the best football results during recent months, Koeman stated that Barcelona’s president, Joan Laporta, asked for some time to look for a replacement during the last summer break.
Of course, this proposal angered the Dutch coach, who basically, and understandably, didn’t want to be in such an uncertain position. Allegedly, Koeman asked Laporta to simply tell him if he considered that he wasn’t good enough for the job.
He understands that the president and the rest of the board are the ones who make the decisions. However, he wanted to know if Laporta really wanted to have him on the team or not.
Apparently, during this time the president of Barcelona decided that for now, the best option is to continue with Ronald Koeman as coach. It should be remembered that the Dutch coach currently has a huge challenge at Barcelona; he must find a formula to get results football and play a game as attractive as it was before when Lionel Messi was in the team.
