Mohamed Salah Says He Came to Liverpool to Win Titles

Mohamed Salah is brimming with confidence right now, and really who can blame him? The Liverpool winger, who broke the club transfer fee record when he moved over from AS Roma in the summer, is currently tied with Harry Kane for the Premier League lead in goals scored (15).

This past weekend, Salah promised a trophy for Liverpool supporters this season. Following up on those remarks, he has now said that he came to Anfield to win titles.

“I want to win titles here, I came here to win titles — to win something for the club, for us, for the fans,” Mohamed Salah said in an interview with Sky Sports.

“I love to win something here. We are working hard every day to win something. I am sure we are going to win something this year.”

Although the Reds are not even close to being in a title race this season, two chances for a trophy remain (Champions League, FA Cup), and either one would be the first piece of silverware in the Jurgen Klopp era of Liverpool.

The Reds’ last major honor came via the 2012 League Cup, and their last league title was in 1989-90.
