Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored his first hat trick as a member of Manchester United tonight; powering the Red Devils to a 3-0 win over St. Etienne in the UEFA Europa League. United will now take their +3 advantage in the Europa competition into the away leg at the French side.

For Zlatan, he has now scored 22 goals in all competitions for United this season; 13 more than any other player on the side.

Zlatan was good, but sometimes he was just lucky too.

It wasn’t all brilliant, but it all counts the same on the scoreboard. Via NBC Sports:

Zlatan picked out the second as well, but he didn’t have to do any of the hard work. Marcus Rashford burst down the left past numerous green shirts, and delivered a pinpoint low ball across the face of goal to an unmarked Ibrahimovic who simply tapped home the ball.

Today’s “narrative” was supposed to be all about Pogba versus Pogba, and the pregame buzz was strong pertaining to that talking point. Their mom even revealed that she was rooting for a draw.

In the end though- it was the world of Zlatan.
