It was a very disappointing season for Manchester United, but these new jerseys certainly don’t disappoint. The new United kit was revealed today by Adidas (now re-pronounced as “ah-dee-dahs” these days for some reason) and it’s a sharp looking strip.
It’s simple yet effective; understated yet eye-catching. And it honors the 1998-99 treble winners, harkening back to the club’s glory days. The minutes of the goals scored by Teddy Sheringham and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the final against Bayern Munich (90+1 and 90+3) are printed on the sleeve.

So that’s a really cool link between past and present on the kit.
However, the glory days of the past seem like ancient history right now, but here’s to a successful summer transfer window and hopefully, having a different feel about the current state of the club come next season.

If you want success, you have got to dress for it, and this shirt, and overall uniform combination certainly fits that bill.
