Manchester United were 2-0 winners over Benfica at home tonight in UEFA Champions League group play, all but assuring their passage to the knockout round. On the strength of an own goal from the visitors, and a penalty kick conversion from Daley Blind in the 78′ (videos here), United hare now 4-for-4 and 12-for-12 in Champions League.
They’ve played four UCL matches and won all four, taking 12 points from 12 points possible.
Here below are the Nemanja Matic and Scott McTominay post match interviews, as well as the Jose Mourinho Post-Match Press Conference and his interview for television:

McTominay, an academy product, was handed his first Champions League start and made the most of it, by playing very well. Mourinho gave a young kid a chance, and in his post match interviews alluded to the reputation that he has for not being the kind of guy that does so.
Mourinho also mentioned a couple previous examples of when he played younger kids in situations when a lot of managers would not. McTominay discussed the thrill of starting alongside an accomplished player like Nemanja Matic, and just how much it meant to get the first team call for a big time European clash.
“As a young boy growing up, you dream of playing in the Champions League for United,” said McTominay.
“I’m made up with tonight!”
