Manchester United seem to have gotten a major fitness boost ahead of their headliner fixture at Liverpool tomorrow. A host of players that had been considered doubtful, Anthony Martial, Luke Shaw, Victor Lindelof, Diogo Dalot and Chris Smalling, all made the trip with the team to Merseyside.
The biggest difference maker, at least in theory, figures to be Martial, who was injured versus Arsenal last week and missed United’s last two contests. However, it appears now that the 23-year-old Frenchman could feature on Sunday. Meanwhile Dalot, Smalling, Shaw and Lindelof could all feature, alleviating United of the injury crisis that they have recently endured in the back line.
Given his presence at the Titanic Hotel in Liverpool, United’s team hotel, it appears that Lindelof is back in contention after being out for three weeks. Lindelof’s potential to feature here is a surprise to say the least.
