Marouane Fellaini Suffers Knee Injury in Belgium World Cup Qualifier

All eyes remain on the Belgium national team for Manchester United as the club faces injury concerns over Marouane Fellaini and Romelu Lukaku. The latter was rested today and his situation (go to this link for the latest on that) now takes a back seat to the former, as the midfielder exited early today with a left knee injury.

Not a whole lot of information is available right now on Fellaini, who left in the 29′ of Belgium’s 4-3 World Cup qualifier win over Bosnia and Herzegovina after receiving treatment on his knee.

Now with Fellaini a doubt for the extremely important Liverpool rivalry clash a week from today, Man United Twitter isn’t feeling too hot right now. Let’s take the temperature of the base right now via social media. Here are some of the more interesting tweets that jump out:

Fellaini bagged a brace versus Crystal Palace one week ago today, and he’s done a fantastic job filling in for the injured Paul Pogba. The very polarizing (even within his own fanbase) personality has really changed perceptions has of late, and he’s producing at a very high level lately; with four goals in his last five competitions for United.

His absence would significantly hurt, and then United would really be dealing with some serious fitness and depth issues in midfield.
