After a very thorough thrashing at the hands of FC Barcelona in midweek Champions League play, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer lamented just how far his club has to go in order to rejoin Europe’s elite.
The Norwegian knows it will take a long time to get there too. Thus, a major overhaul will be in the works this summer. “We have said all along that this isn’t going to change tonight. The next few years will be massive for us to get to the level of Barcelona,” said Solskjaer.
“We have got good players and, at the moment, we really have done well to get to the quarters and to get in the challenge for the top four.”
Up next is a quest for three points at Everton, a side how currently sit in mid-table. Let’s take a look at who Solskjaer may select for his first team.
