Manchester United have been linked to approximately 97,324 players this summer transfer window, but there still has not been even one single signing. That is about to change, according to multiple reports which indicate Swansea City winger Daniel James is closing in on finalizing his move.
Sky Sports reports that the 21-year-old could undergo his medical as early as today, with an official announcement from the club coming early next week.

The deal is reportedly worth £18 million: £15m plus £3m in add-ons. Personal terms have reportedly been agreed upon for a long time. There were supposedly plenty of other clubs interested in acquiring him, but United was the only place he wanted to go. The speedy winger impressed in the Championship division during his breakout 2018-19 season, and now moves to a very crowded position group at Old Trafford.
While there is a lot of talent at the winger position at United, most of the talent is overpriced, overrated and underachieving.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will, or at least he should, make it clear this training camp that no one’s position is safe, and with that in mind, Daniel James will get a fair chance to earn his spot.
