Manchester United are supposedly back in for Lucas Moura. The 21-year-old member of Paris St Germain was a target of Sir Alex Ferguson. The Daily Star, The Independent and The Mirror believe David Moyes is back trying to obtain him. United put up a €45 million bid on Lucas Moura two summers ago. Moyes has said that we shouldn’t expect any big signings from his side this January, but perhaps that’s just something he’s putting out there to play coy.
Signing the Brazilian would certainly qualify as being that big deal. Which other outlets have reported a bid closer to 30 million. Moyes saw Lucas Moura in action this week when he took in PSG’s win over Bordeaux in the French League Cup.
United are desperate to upgrade their midfield before the end of the January transfer window, and you might have heard a thing or two about the Red Devils being linked to acquiring a star midfielder. Or two. Or five. Or ten. Or 15.
