What’s the latest on Chicharito? He was the odd man out last season at Manchester United but Louis van Gaal said in the preseason that there could be a real place for him this year. Or maybe not, Javier Hernandez wants to play with a club that would make him a first-team regular, hence he keeps getting linked to other teams.
The Mexican striker was loaned out to Spanish giant Real Madrid, and he scored the game winning goal for Los Blancos in the Champions League quarter-final. Still, Real Madrid declined the opportunity to make the loan deal permanent.
Chicharito, was quoted on June 13th: “Yes, I want to stay at Madrid, but I also want to join a team where I can play and get minutes.
“If I can do that at Manchester United or another club, I’ll be happy. First-team football is my priority over anything else.”
Perhaps West Ham United is the place? The Sunday Daily Star claims that the London side is still pursuing him. And FOX Sports/Sky Sports claimed yesterday that Javier Hernandez rejected a bid from the L.A. Galaxy of Major League Soccer. Hernandez is 27, he’s too young to make the move the MLS now. He’s still in his prime.
