Manchester United are hopeful of signing a new Brazilian midfielder by Friday. United are close to signing FC Porto Fernando. The deal should be done by the end of the week, according to Miguel Delaney from ESPN.
FC Porto Fernando is thought to be valued around the £10m mark, could be an ideal signing, but probably more of a stop-gap until the summer. Obviously, there are other teams in the running for Fernando too, not just United. Lots of midfielders have been linked to United this January transfer window. Which makes sense given how much David Moyes needs to strengthen the midfield position. And he hasn’t been shy about that.
Fernando is 6 feet tall and 25 years old. Although United have not been successful in their first approach for Fernando, they still remain hopeful of signing him before the transfer deadline closes at 11pm on Friday.
