Manchester United forward Anthony Martial is currently settled and comfortable at his current club amidst talk that he’s a transfer target for Arsenal. Manchester Evening News report that Martial “is understood to be ‘very content’ at United after making an electric start to his second season.”
Martial, a summer 2015 transfer deadline day acquisition from Monaco, has five goals and five assists for United in nine appearances this season.
He’s currently in a position battle with Marcus Rashford, where both young attackers are very much flourishing.
The Daily Mirror, earlier this week claimed that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is keen to make a move for United’s stellar Frenchman forward.
Wenger wants his countryman has a replacement for Alexis Sanchez, who’s out of contract at the end of the season and very unlikely to re-sign. Sanchez himself was heavily linked with a move to Manchester City this past summer. Additionally, Anthony Martial has also been linked recently in transfer rumors with Barcelona.
However, Martial doesn’t seem to be going anywhere right now as M.E.N. understand it writing that “United sources acknowledged last term that Martial’s focus was compromised by domestic issues but the forward is settled in Manchester and moved back into the city centre earlier in the year with his partner.”
The 21-year-old had a great debut season at Old Trafford, but slumped in his second go-around, the first year under Jose Mourinho.
Now in year three, the second under Mourinho, he’s feeling fine and thriving.
