Anthony Martial doesn’t strike as late as “Fergie Time,” and his heroics can’t match that magnitude or legendary status just yet, but he is truly clutch. The super-sub came on late and provided the game-winner of this weekend’s headliner fixture.

It was a Manchester United 1, Tottenham Hotspur 0 final due to the Martial plan. Take a look:

United have now moved temporarily just two points off rivals Manchester City for the top of the table.

As you can see from the statistic in the tweet below, Anthony Martial is getting it done in crunch time:

There weren’t too many great scoring chances in this one. Dele Alli failed to convert a golden opportunity for the visitors while Romelu Lukaku was largely absent most of the day for the home side. He did have one scoring opportunity where his shot hit the post.

Alli and Lukaku ended up getting into a real altercation today. Watch below as Alli jaws with Ashley Young, and Lukaku shows up to back up his teammate.

United are now unbeaten in their last 36 home matches across all competitions (25 wins, 11 draws). United’s win snapped Tottenham’s four game Premier League winning streak.
