The very early leaks of the 2018-19 Manchester United home kit have now proven to be very predictive. United’s shirt supplier Adidas took down the red kit’s promotional video after it had already leaked online Monday night.
Have a watch below, as the promo video is still widely available online, despite Adidas removing it. According to some reports, this video was supposedly to debut on Thursday.

Midfielder Juan Mata is the main star of the advertisement, so you can pretty much put to bed any transfer rumors about him leaving the club. Mata walks into the dressing room wearing a shirt that features black stripes at the bottom.
As had been claimed months ago, the new home shirt is inspired by the railway men who formed the club, and the shorts will be black instead of white this season. United was founded as Newton Heath LYR Football Club in 1878, with the name change to Manchester United coming in 1902.
As you saw in the video above, the spot alludes to Newton Heath Lancashire Railway Football Club.
