The rebuild of Manchester United could definitely take some time, so get ready and dig your heels in for that. The upshot is that we’ll have a summer transfer window filled with many comings and goings.
And with Manchester United linked to approximately 97,324 players already, the time is right for some Red Devils transfer talk. In today’s second edition (go here for part one) we begin with the young man who may just become Old Trafford’s second addition this summer transfer window after Daniel James.ย
Newcastle’s homegrown midfielder, Sean Longstaff has been written and speculated about plenty this silly season already, but the 21-year-old maintains that he’s happy to stay Tyneside.
“I’m massively flattered to have my name even mentioned in those conversations, but I’m 100 percent focused on Newcastle,” Longstaff said to the team’s official website.
“I’ve always wanted to play for Newcastle and I’ve only had a little taste of that, so for me it’s about getting fit [after a knee injury] as soon as I can and getting back on the pitch for Newcastle.”
Nevertheless United remain interested, and confident, they can still get a deal done at the right price- according to ESPN.
Next we move on to West Ham United central defender Issa Diop, a player that United are willing to spend big on, according to Sky Sports.
Old Trafford are willing to go ยฃ45 million and throw in a player in exchange for Diop’s signature, but Sky sources understand that the London club have no interest in parting ways with the 22-year-old French international for any less than ยฃ60 million.
Much like Aaron Wan-Bissaka at Crystal Palace, once again we have a London club that’s well aware of United’s desperate need for back line improvement, and they’ll use the hot commodity defender they currently have to get all that they can out of Old Trafford’s deep pockets.
The constant United chase for a centre-back has not panned out, and given the past failures, it’s easy to believe that this Tweet here accurately forecasts what’s coming:
The #mufc centre-back summer chase:
– Koulibaly may be joining us.
– Koulibaly stays.
– De Ligt may be joining us.
– De Ligt joins PSG.
– United panic bid ยฃ70m on Maguire
– Maguire bid rejected (90m asking)
– United start first PL game with Smalling and Jones.Very predictable.

And finally, Brazilian forward Everton Soares, known simply as Everton (this is could potentially get confusing for sure) has sent a signal to United to come and get him.
The 23-year-old scored his first international goal in the Copa America host’sย 3-0 victory over Bolivia last night, and after the match he made some bold and interesting comments.
“I’m a player that’s always trying to get on top (of the opposition),” Everton told the MailOnline.
“Cutting in from the left with dribbles and good finishes. Clubs in Europe have this style of play too and maybe I can fit in at Manchester United and others.”
Your move Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ed Woodward.
