While it’s a break period, there is still plenty of Liverpool news to discuss today, so let’s take a spin through the latest news story items and notes making the rounds on the internet today.
-FIFPro, the worldwide players’ union, asked their membership to select one goalkeeper, four defenders, three midfielders and three forwards for their FIFA FIFPro World 11 list. The Premier League landed 18 players on the list, which is based on performance during the 2017-18 season.
The Reds landed four current players, and five overall from last season in defenders Virgil van Dijk and Dejan Lovren, midfielder Philippe Coutinho and attackers Sadio Mane and Mohammed Salah.

-In case you missed it, Saturday night saw Real Madrid and Spain defender speak even more candidly about his altercation with Salah that left the Egyptian seriously hurt. Salah injured his shoulder so much that in the Ramos entanglement that he had to miss Egypt’s first World Cup game.
Ramos maintains that he was not intentionally trying to harm Salah, and revealed that death threats have been made against both he and his children due to the incident.
-Elsewhere, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp put his team through training at Melwood today (yes, despite the face that some are away on international break) in preparations for the weekend’s headliner clash at Wembley Stadium versus Tottenham Hotspur. The Daily Mail has more.
-Van Dijk has Reds fans excited due to the warning he fired at Kylian Mbappe ahead of the highly anticipated UEFA Champions League group stage clash with Paris Saint-Germain at Anfield in a little over a week. The Echo has more at this link.
