Liverpool holding midfielder Emre Can was acquired during the Brendan Rodgers regime from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2014. Since moving to Anfield as a 20-year-old, Can has developed very nicely under Jurgen Klopp, providing occasional scoring, in addition to his reliability and tactical awareness.
The next step for the German international will reportedly be in Italy, with Juventus, as Gazzetta Dello Sport claims Can has agreed to join the Serie A juggernaut on a five year deal.
Emre Can moves to the Old Lady on a free transfer, making this transaction even tougher for Liverpool. It’s hoped that Naby Keita, arriving this summer from RB Leipzig, can help fill the midfield void.
Can is definitely a player on the rise, as this has been his highest scoring season in a Liverpool shirt (six goals in 33 matches). It’s also odd that he’s now finally leaving for Juve, after plenty of transfer rumors in seasons past, and the fact that a different Italian outlet reported this just three days ago:

Apparently, Can had a real change of heart. What a massive news worthy week it has been for Liverpool. In addition to the Champions League semifinal coming up, you have Roberto Firmino announcing his extension with the club, and now the Emre Can development.
