Liverpool Reach £52.8m Agreement for Nabil Fekir

Liverpool have added their second new player of the summer transfer window in Lyon team captain Nabil Fekir. According to various reports, the two sides reached an agreement for the player that consists of a €55m (£48.4m) base fee plus €5m (£4.4m) in add-ons, which means the deal could eventually reach €60m (£52.8m) in total.

Fekir will be the third new player to arrive at Anfield this summer, behind Monaco man Fabinho who was signed earlier this window, and RB Leipzig’s Naby Keita, whose signature was acquired last summer.

According to The Guardian, “Fekir is due to undergo a Liverpool medical at Clairefontaine, the France national team’s training base, before signing terms on Friday.”

Les Bleus will take on the United States this weekend, in their final World Cup tune-up.

It’s possible we could see an official announcement within the next couple days. The transfer activity won’t stop here either, as more deals are coming. Xherdan Shaqiri is another player currently on the Reds radar. During the regular season, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp did promise a busy transfer window this summer, and so far it’s looking like a promise fulfilled. Watch this space, as there is plenty more to come.
