It’s been long reported, by multiple outlets in England that Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho is Manchester United’s top transfer target this summer. This narrative is back front and center in the news again this week we’re on international break, and there are fewer topics of interest to discuss right now.

Thus, summer transfer rumors take center stage and there are plenty to discuss with a Sancho move posing the potential to set off multiple ripple effects.

The Express reports that his former club, Manchester City, did not include any clause stopping him from joining another club in the deal they made to send him to BVB in 2017. The sum City received in just two years ago was only £8 million, and that seems pretty ridiculous now when you consider what his valuation might be this summer.

First off, United could find themselves in a bidding war with Paris Saint-Germain for the young Englishman, and that would likely lead to all kinds of transfer fee records being smashed.

In order to finance this almost certain to be blockbuster level sum, United might likely sell off some pieces, and that could include Alexis Sanchez, Marcos Rojo, Matteo Darmian and Juan Mata.

With BVB selling Sancho, they would then need to beef up depth on the wing, especially so with Christian Pulisic off to Chelsea. That replacement could be Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi, who Dortmund were trying hard to acquire in January. Dortmund could face major competition from Bavarian giants Bayern Munich now, and that would of course complicate the deal.
