Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud is going to be a very key player in tomorrow’s FA Cup Final at Wembley Stadium between Chelsea and Manchester United. As the Frenchman’s track record conveys- how he always makes a major impact in these matches held at the national stadium.
There’s just something about Giroud and Wembley that go together like peanut butter and jelly. So much so that it actually angered his Blues teammates, a little bit, when he joined up from Arsenal in January. They were still upset about Giroud’s setting up the Aaron Ramsey goal that clinched last year’s FA Cup title for the Gunners.
Olivier Giroud's record in FA Cup finals:
2014: ? Assists the winner
2015: ? Scores the fourth
2017: ? Assists the winner
2018: ? ______________He *always* leaves his mark… pic.twitter.com/lDweSGnY1H

The Gunners victory prevented Chelsea from winning a domestic double last season. However, Giroud, who was named to the France World Cup team yesterday, over Anthony Martial and Alexandre Lacazette, says he will be the west London side’s “lucky charm” tomorrow against United.
“I have been teasing them about it,” Giroud told the Evening Standard.
“When I arrived in January they were still a bit angry with me but I said, ‘I hope we will carry on the momentum because I can beat any team at Wembley and I will be your lucky charm ? let’s hope we do it’.
“I have been unbeaten at Wembley since 2012, obviously first with Arsenal and then with Chelsea for the semi-final.
“Hopefully I will be unbeaten after the final, too. It’s a nice record and I want to keep it up.”
Emotions will be high tomorrow as this match provides the last opportunity for both teams to get their first trophy of the 2017-18 season. For more on this match, go to this link.
