It will eventually be a very exciting summer transfer window at Chelsea FC, with plenty of comings and goings. Yes, we know it has been crickets chirping thus far, but trust us, things will warm up soon.
Let’s take a spin through the latest transfer rumors and gossip making the rounds on the internet today.
Former Chelsea and current Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is a huge fan of his former player Willian. He’s made no secret of that. Will the two teams do business together again like they did last summer? (Nemanja Matic)
Well, maybe not for Willian, or at least not right now as United might have to pay more than they expected to land the Brazilian. Stamford Bridge rejected a £50 million offer for the winger from FC Barcelona, according to the Daily Mail.
Thus, United are content to wait in the wings for the time being. Barca are looking to add depth and quality in attack, and this week was a certainly a good week to be the Catalan club, as Forbes revealed the Spanish double winners to be the top club in the entire world when it comes to sponsorship income.
United came in second, further driving home the point that it’s really good to be Willian right now, as he has two of the the world’s biggest clubs pursuing him.
Leeds United signed Chelsea midfielder Lewis Baker on loan Saturday, and if you want to see more of the 23-year-old, who has made only one substitute appearance for the Blues, check out these compilation videos from FFDTV a website that focuses on the young emerging talents in the game.
Here’s the compilation in which shows off his ability to use both feet:
“Baker converts chips, long range shots, half-volleys, free-kicks & penalties using both feet in his successful season at Vitesse (season before last) which included winning the Dutch Cup to secure a first major trophy in the club’s history and Lewis scoring in his last game for the club
(the last goal in the below video).”
