Chelsea FC Starting XI Prediction at Southampton FC

October 4, 2019 By paulmbanks

Chelsea visits Southampton on Sunday in a renewal of a series that has been extremely lopsided lately. Saints have won only two of their last 20 Premier League meetings with Chelsea (D6, L12) and are winless in their last seven. Meanwhile the St. Mary’s Stadium has been a great place to go for Chelsea, as the west London side have won on nine of their 12 (D2, L1) that they have played there.

On Sunday, the Blues will look to win their fifth in a row in at the venue. The match comes right before another international break, a period that will see the first ever England call-up for Blues defender Fikayo Tomori.

“He deserves it,” Lampard said of the nod. “He has been a dream to work with day in, day out for the last 15 months or so. It’s a great step up and it’s in his hands to go there and show what he shows us every day.”

Let’s take a look at who else the Englishman may include in his first team on the weekend.
