This is the exact moment Schlotterbeck hurt his ankle during a ‘fun competitive drill’ in the warm-up before the final training session in Herzogenaurach. The players had to dribble around slalom poles in four different groups. Schlotterbeck lost control of the ball and veered into another group, where Finn Jeltsch was dribbling at the time. If so, we’ll just update accordingly.
Let’s start with center back Nico Schlotterbeck, who tore his ankle up while training with Germany five days ago. The embedded tweet above explains pretty much everything going on with him right now.
We’re still awaiting a specific update on the nature and the extend of his injury, but suffice it to say, he’s doubtful, at the very least, for this weekend.
Elsewhere FiIippo Mane has been battling a muscle strain in his right thigh, but he could be in contention to feature here.
And then finally, Emre Can and Giannis Konstantelias remain sidelined as long-term ACL injury absentees.
