The great Bob Costas nailed it. He referred to the Caitlyn Jenner ESPYs Courage Award as “a crass exploitation play.” That’s exactly what it was. Regardless of your feelings on Caitlyn Jenner, there was nothing commendable or courageous about how her ESPY came about.
That was an agent-driven, publicist negotiated quid pro quo, and nothing more. It was not wholesome and pure; it was just a business deal transacted for the purpose of grabbing the highest ratings possible .
Costas said it weeks before the Daily Mail found the evidence and published it. We linked them and added in our own two cents on an edition of the Espys that seemed more contrived and disingenuous than ever before. This was evident right from the start.
That’s a whole ‘nother story though. Here we link the 15 most popular Sports Bank articles of 2015. Page Views number accompany each title and link. The only thing to outrank our Caitlyn Jenner story was the NFL mock draft and the home page.
Mock drafts and the home page are excluded from this list. Enjoy the 15 most overall clicked stories of ’15.
