As if Brady Hoke and the Michigan Wolverines need any more drama this year. This nightmare season has produced yet another Outside-the-lines type storyline. Now Frank Clark is the latest awful episode to occur under the watch of Brady Hoke.
According to MLive:
Michigan senior defensive end Frank Clark was arrested Saturday by the Perkins Township police department in Ohio, per online records, on suspicion of domestic violence. Clark, a senior starter from Cleveland, was listed as an inmate on the Erie County Jail website early Sunday morning. Per an officer at the prison, Clark is being held without bond until his 9 a.m. court appearance at 9 a.m. Monday at the Sandusky Municipal Court.
Bond will be set at that time.
Clark is arguably the team’s best defender, so this pretty much clinches that the team will not be going anywhere for the holidays this year. They still need another win to become bowl eligible. Given the epidemic of domestic violence in the NFL, this pretty much ends the NFL Draft stock of Frank Clark too.
Below are portions of the statement sent out by Hoke:
“Frank Clark has been dismissed from the Michigan football program. This is a tragic situation. There is a legal process that will occur and we respect that process.”
