6-7 Small Forward Jaylen Brown projects to be the #2 overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft. But long before that night comes; when he finds out where he’s playing his pro ball, Brown has to finally decide where he’ll play his college ball. That decision has finally come tonight.

After a very long wait, it’s being reported by multiple sources that Brown has selected California. Evan Daniels of Scout.com was the first to break this news.

Now Jaylen Brown will pair with Ivan Rabb, another blue chip prospect and future NBA lottery talent in Berkley. This will be, by far, the most fearsome Golden Bears team in quite some time.

For Brown, the decision took so very long because he couldn’t decide whether he wanted to be the alpha dog, the focal point of his team, or does he want to pick a school where he would one of many big stars.

He articulated this at All-American Game Media Day.

“That’s my dilemma, it’s what I’m trying to figure out- do I want to go to a school where I can play with guys and make them better, or do I want a play on a team where there’s a lot of guys around me so the attention is not on me?” Brown said.

“That’s the line that I’m walking right now.”

Here’s we have Jaylen Brown in our latest 2016 NBA Mock draft:

2. Jaylen Brown, SF, Undecided, 6-7, HS Sr.
Jaylen Brown has the ideal combination of size, strength, and athleticism to be an NBA small forward.

It’s amazing how Cal was able to land not one, but two 5-star prospects despite going just 18-15 last year and missing the NCAA Tournament the past two seasons.
