The Kentucky Wildcats have owned the top ranked recruiting class in the nation the past three years. College basketball royalty, they’re off to a good start already in the 2012 recruiting cycle. It started with NC State transfer Ryan Harrow, a point guard. Now UK has an elite shooting guard to pair with in the backcourt: Archie Goodwin of Sylvan Hills (AR) committed this week.

Goodwin, the top pure shooting guard in the country and a Top 15 national prospect, picked the Wildcats over Arkansas and Memphis. Goodwin tweeted on Tuesday night,”If you don’t know by now, I’m a Wildcat”.

He averaged 28 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists per game in leading his team to the state championship his junior year. That season he was named Gatorade Player of the Year in Arkansas.
