As he has so many times this season, Northwestern Wildcats senior point guard Michael "Juice" Thompson carried his team on his back, leading his team to a victory over the Minnesota Golden Gophers in a Big Ten Tournament game they absolutely had to have in order to preserve any chance of a NCAA Tournament berth; and probably really needed to salvage a NIT berth. Thompson … [Read more...] about Northwestern Wildcats Moving on to Play #1 Ohio State

As the Minnesota Golden Gophers tip off their opening game in the Big Ten Tournament in a matter of few minutes, it's good to know they will have the services of their mascot, Goldy. He is present courtside in Indianapolis, and retains the ability to perform his trademark gesture, the ability to rotate his head. Minnesota vs. Northwestern Tips Off Big 10 Tourney: Injuries Aplenty

March 10, 2011 By paulmbanks

In this corner, you have the Minnesota Golden Gophers, a tean that's been a train wreck ever since losing their starting point guard Al Nolen. And in this corner, you have the Northwestern Wildcats, a team missing one of their starters in Jershon Cobb, a key reserve (and fill-in starter) in Mike Capocci. March 10, 2011 By paulmbanks

Brandon Jennings, Keyon Dooling

Tuesday, it was the starters. Wednesday, it was the bench. For the first time all season, the Milwaukee Bucks strung together a back-to-back set of games where the first unit drove the Land Rover of victory one night, only to have the second unit jump start the stalled vehicle on the way to another win 24 hours later. By Jake McCormick … [Read more...] about Limping Milwaukee Bucks beat up on paralyzed Cleveland Cavaliers

March 10, 2011 By paulmbanks

One of the bubble teams this year is the Michigan Wolverines out of the Big Ten. The Wolverines have had a great season considering the talent they lost from last year and the talent they (presumably) lack this year. But, is it enough to get them dancing?
