Move Purdue Boilermakers legend Taylor Stubblefield. “Basketball on grass” made you a star, but now it’s time for a new receiving king. The NCAA all time receptions record has shifted from the Upper Midwest to the Great Plains South.

Oklahoma Sooners wide receiver Ryan Broyles needed just four more catches last night to break the college football record for career receptions. He had 13. For 215 yards and 2 TDs in the Sooners 47-17 destruction of Kansas.

Stubblefield caught 316 passes from 2001-2004 while playing in West Lafayette. So far this season, Broyles has 60 grabs for 813 yards and 9 touchdowns.

Broyles has 4,242 yards and 44 receiving touchdowns in his career.

Oklahoma came in with the 5th ranked passing offense in the nation. The win moved them to 6-0, 2-0 in conference.
