Arsenal have only three injury concerns at the international break- Ben White, Cristhian Mosquera, William Saliba. That is the good news for the North Londoners. The bad news, at this ginormously sized international break, for the Gunners is that they’re no longer in first place. Getting thrashed by Brighton 3-0 on Sunday was the absolute worst way to head into an extended international break.
No doubt Mikel Arteta and his men cannot wait to get back on to the pitch.
Unfortunately for them, this won’t happen for a very long time. They’ll next host Leeds United, but it’s not until October 10.
Cristhian Mosquera
“Yeah, we have another session. Arteta said of Mosquera this past Friday. “They are willing to be part of it, and we have another session to make sure that they are fit.”
Mosquera did end up traveling with the squad to Brighton, but he was still left out of the matchday squad. Battling an unspecified muscular injury, he should be fine to feature in the next match.
Ben White
“Ben is all good,” Arteta said on Friday. “They are all good. We have another training session this afternoon, so really positive about everybody.”
The English right back was left out of the squad on Sunday. He did not get called up to the England squad this FIFA window, but with all the added rest, he should be fine for the clash with Leeds.
William Saliba
French central defender is still recovering from a back surgery that was long overdue. Credit Saliba for playing through the pain, for the longest time. He won’t feature again until sometime in November, at the earliest.
