Early Odds for the 20/21 Premier League Title Winners

The 2020/21 English Premier League season is going to come around faster than ever following the completion of the previous campaign. Thanks to the outbreak of COVID-19, we lost many months during the 2019/20 Premier League season but it was finally completed on the 26th of July with Liverpool crowned as champions.

In truth, Liverpool could have been awarded the title prior to the resumption of the league as they had opened up a significant lead at the top of the table. The next goal for Jurgen Klopp and his players is to retain the Premier League title and the bookmakers have them as one of the favourites to lift the trophy.

However, many of the online bookies do not have the defending champions as the favourite to win the 2020/21 Premier League. In fact, the early odds for the 20/21 Premier League winners have Manchester City leading the way. Pep Guardiola would have been extremely disappointed with the way in which his team fell away during the course of the season and they have already been busy in the transfer market. Add their defeat in the Champions League against Lyon, and Manchester City will be extremely motivated to win trophies next season.

Liverpool will be hoping to bolster their squad before the beginning of the season and have been heavily linked with a move for Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago. The Spanish international has made no secret of his desire to leave Munich this summer and could be the first major transfer for Liverpool. Fans of The Reds will want to see their club improve the squad but if they can keep the regular starting XI intact, Liverpool are going to be tough to beat.

Before you begin taking advantage of the early odds for the 20/21 Premier League title, you should become aware of the best UK betting sites. Head to the Bettinglounge.co.uk where you will find comprehensive details of the best betting websites in the United Kingdom plus a wealth of information regarding bonuses and promotions. The start of a new Premier League season is when you will find some of the best offers at online bookmakers.

Manchester United finished in 3rd place last season and will be hoping to challenge for the title in the upcoming campaign. The addition of Portuguese midfielder Bruno Fernandes made a big difference in the second half of last season but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer knows he needs to add more quality to his team. Jadon Sancho of Borussia Dortmund has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford and would add another dimension to their attacking play.

Chelsea have already been busy with the addition of striker Timo Werner and forward Hakim Ziyech. However, Frank Lampard will need to improve the team defensively if they are to have any chance of keeping pace with Manchester City and Liverpool at the top of the table. The early odds for the 20/21 Premier League season suggest Manchester United and Chelsea have an outside chance of seriously challenging for the title but Liverpool and Manchester City are going to be difficult to stop.
