Chelsea FC-Tottenham Hotspur Match Injury/Fitness Report

Tottenham Hotspur will try to ruin Chelsea’s big record breaking party tonight, just like the Blues officially ended their title hopes last season. This rivalry is about to get even more heated.

Match injury/fitness report:

For Chelsea the only injured player in long time veteran defender John Terry. He’s recovering from a gluteal strain, and should be back soon, just not quite time for this one. The Blues won’t have anyone missing due to suspension, nor any doubtful players for the match. On the flip side, Spurs enter with great health as well. Erik Lamela is out with a hip injury still.

That’s it though, as everyone else should be available for Tottenham.

As Chelsea look to break Arsenal’s Premier League record for consecutive wins, they actually have the blessing of Arsene Wenger. Wenger made those comments weeks ago, while just a couple days ago complaining about the schedule makers giving his side not enough turnaround/preparation time during this period of fixture congestion, and that Chelsea was given an unfair advantage with more time to rest.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino claims that the rest of the league (the neutrals) will be supporting his club, much like they were against him last season (and with Leicester City) in the title race.
