Marouane Fellaini’s Old Trafford career is set to be over in the coming 2-3 days as the emblem of David Moyes era futility could well be shipped off to Italian side Napoli according to Naples outlet Tutto Napoli. The report has cited Italian daily Il Mattino.

As the one major 2013 summer transfer window signing post Sir Alex Ferguson, Fellaini should have absorbed some, or at least more of that angst against the Manager that brought him there. Instead he receives about a fraction of the backlash that Moyes got.

Fellaini must wait until the two clubs agree a fee before completing his move, but he’s agreed to a Napoli switch.

The Red Devils are holding out for £18 million for the Belgian international, but the Italians are keen on a loan deal with the option of a permanent move, the Daily Star reports. Publications claim that Louis van Gaal ordered him out.

Fellaini, United’s fourth most expensive signing of all time after signing from Everton for £27.5m, would have lasted just one year. A year in which he did not score and made just 21 appearances, They’re willing to take 12.5 million pound bath on the deal. Kind of like all the millions that MUFC paid Moyes to go away and not coach anymore.   So it’s not one, but two acquisitions from Everton which turned out to be huge mistakes (Moyes obviously the other).

Van Gaal was unimpressed with Fellaini at the World Cup and has decided that England winger Zaha, who was loaned to Cardiff last season, is not in his plans. Also, doesn’t Fellaini kind of look like NBA player Robin Lopez?

And also The Simpsons villain Sideshow Bob?

You’d think these jokes get old after awhile….but they don’t.

Still funny to me.
