Yankees Confident Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton Will be Ready for Opening Day

New York Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman gave his first media availability, via conference call, since Major League Baseball announced the start of the 2020 season this afternoon, and we had injury/fitness updates aplenty.

Cashman said he is “very optimistic” that outfielder Aaron Judge will be in the Opening Day lineup against the Washington Nationals on July 23.  The Yanks GM also expressed his belief that left-handed starter James Paxton and outfielder Aaron Hicks will be good to go for the curtain raiser as well.

Chicago Fire FC Set to Enter MLS “Bubble” in Orlando

Chicago Fire FC will play a full, 90 minute intrasquad game tomorrow morning before departing for Orlando in the afternoon. Chicago Fire FC will participate in the MLS is Back Tournament, where they will open play against expansion club Nashville SC on Wednesday, July 8, at 9:30 p.m. CT (ESPN and ESPN Deportes).

The Fire will resume Group A play against another expansion side in Inter Miami CF on Tuesday, July 14, at 8:00 a.m. CT (ESPN and ESPN Deportes). The Fire will closes out the group phase of the tournament against New York City FC at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 19 (FS1 and TUDN).

Predicted Arsenal FC Starting XI vs Norwich City

Arsenal will take on Norwich City on Wednesday as they look to make it three in a row on the back of their FA Cup quarterfinal win over Sheffield United.

The Emirates club have reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup where they will face off against Manchester City. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Backs Marcus Rashford to Regain Scoring Ways

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer virtually met the media today, ahead of tomorrow night’s Premier League fixture at Brighton & Hove Albion. Red Devils leading scorer Marcus Rashford was one of the topics he covered, as well as the future of Angel Gomes, the race for the top four and yesterday’s FA Cup draw.

Rashford has yet to score in his three appearances since play resumed, but he did register two assists against Sheffield United. With play having been suspended mid-March, there was a long layoff for everybody, but Rashford had been out of action even longer, having suffered a double stress fracture against Wolves in the FA Cup back in January.
