The K.C. Chiefs versus the Jacksonville Jaguars game has a unique match-up. It’s got the number one overall pick of the draft and the number two pick of the NFL draft. Although they obviously won’t be facing each other at all, they’re both offensive tackles. And remember this was the “Linemen Draft” or the “Fat Boy Draft.”
Get ready for Eric Fisher of the K.C. Chiefs and Luke Joeckel of the Jaguars.
The K.C. Chiefs are a 3 point favorite, with the over/under on this game at 40.5. To aid in your NFL forecasting this season check out Odds Worth Betting.
Football Night in America Analyst Tony Dungy broke down this game, and the battle of blue chip prospect OTs:
“Well in this day and age, you have to get comfortable with your rookies playing right away. Offensive line is a tough place to break in, but they’re playing on the right side and not the left side, which does help,” the NBC Network personality said.
“You want to see that rookie tackle go out there and play well, because hopefully that’s a guy that’s going to be there for 10 years for you. Both coaches will have some trepidation. They know what they’ve seen in practice, but you just hope that they do well, because you don’t want to get off to a bad start with that number one draft choice as a tackle,” Dungy continued.
I think the K.C. Chiefs will pull this out on the road. Kickoff time is noon.
