Considering that “jackass” is the number one movie int he nation right now, and Halloween is coming up, I would expect a sharp increase in pranks this week. And when you’re Elizabeth Moreau, an attractive icon in the media, you’re more likely to be target for these pranks.
And if you work for ESPN, it’s automatic that the WWL will not report on what happened. So it’s up to the sports blogosphere.
And this is just a very bizarre story involving a toilet seat and Moreau breaking a hotel window….I’ll just turn it over to Fanhouse now. They wrote a good piece on it, and I was quite impressed with their speaker at SES.
ESPNU reporter Elizabeth Moreau seems nice enough. A pleasant smile, a sunny disposition and probably good at her job. But early Thursday morning, in her Gainesville, Fla. hotel room, she was the victim of a prank call.
Moreau was told by an unknown male caller that “the hotel was on fire,” and that she needed to “lay towels down at the bottom of her front door to prevent smoke from entering her room.” The caller then directed Moreau to use the toilet lid cover to break the hotel room window.
