Montee “Touchdown” Ball breaks the NCAA FBS Record

It didn’t take long as the Wisconsin Badgers Montee Ball scored his 79th and record-breaking touchdown in the first quarter of UW’s season finale at Penn State.

Ball rushed 17 yards on a sweep to the right in which he tip-toed down the sideline and walked in for the historic score.

No single player in NCAA FBS history has scored more touchdowns than Ball has during his career at Wisconsin.

Earlier Montee Ball NFL Draft Decision Report Discredited


Update: Montee Ball himself tweeted:

“lots of speculation out there, leaning one way but just not ready to make an announcement yet, appreciate everyone’s patience”

Montee Ball, the Wisconsin Badgers superlative running back who finished fourth in Heisman voting will supposedly skip the 2012 NFL Draft and return to Madison for his senior season, according Badger247. SI also picked up that report.

The junior tailback is expected to make an official statement later today.

Montee Ball Ties Barry Sanders’ Season TD Record!


Wisconsin Badgers tailback supreme Montee Ball has done it! With a 3 yard touchdown run in the 2nd quarter of the Rose Bowl, Ball etched his name into the record books; tying a milestone that stood for over 20 years: Barry Sanders of Oklahoma State 39 TDs in1988.

Sure, the 4 TDs he Sanders scored in the bowl game didn’t count towards his total. (Rule change means Ball’s TDs do count). And with that Ball got 3 extra games on Sanders to reach the record.

But if you look at total touches, it’s a totally different story.

Can Wisconsin’s Montee Ball Break Barry Sanders’ Single Season TD Record?







The Wisconsin Badgers’ stud running back, Montee Ball, sits just five touchdowns back of the legendary Barry Sanders’ single-season collegiate touchdown record. Ball’s four touchdown performance versus Penn State gave the junior 34 on the season.

With two games left, can the Big Ten’s Offensive Player of the Year eclipse the 39 touchdowns Sanders accumulated for Oklahoma State in the 1988 season?

#18 Wisconsin and Minnesota Battle For The Axe (Game Preview)







This Saturday, the #18 Wisconsin Badgers (7-2, 3-2) and Minnesota Golden Gophers (2-7, 1-4) will meet for the 121st time which ranks as the most-played rivalry in FBS history.

In the last decade, the Badgers have been in full control of Paul Bunyan’s Axe as they go into the latest installment of the series winning the last seven games, including thee of them on the road in Minneapolis.

Wisconsin Runs Over Purdue 62-17 (Rapid Reaction)







The #20 Wisconsin Badgers returned to their winning ways with a 62-17 shellacking of the Purdue Boilermakers. Running Back Montee Ball led an offense that racked up 605 total yards, including 364 via the ground.

Wisconsin (7-2, 3-2) has won fifteen straight home games and scored at least 30 points in it’s last 11 at Camp Randall.
