Cincinnati Bengals: your new Super Bowl favorite

marvin lewis

It seems early to already be down to just one undefeated team in the AFC, but the Bengals are playing like they could maintain that storyline well into November.

They’re led by a defense who is hungry for more. Aside from the Ravens making a game of it late during the fourth quarter, the Bengals have been almost untouchable. That defense is suffocating opposing quarterbacks and running attacks; while the offense continues to play simple, efficient football.

Cincinnati Bengals stadium to host Ohio St spring game

The 2013 Ohio State Spring football Game will be played April 13 in Cincinnati at Paul Brown Stadium, officials from the Ohio State Department of Athletics, Cincinnati Bengals and Hamilton County announced today.

They’re even willing to pay for this because they have nothing else going on in their lives.

ryan_leaf

From draft bust to drug bust.

Ryan Leaf, the ultimate bust when it comes to NFL franchise quarterback draft picks, was arrested for the second time in the past four days. Meaning the Cincinnati Bengals have already contacted his agent about working him out and getting him on the roster. No, I’m joking about that last part.

Mike Vick Initially Considered Bengals and Bills, Not Eagles After Prison

Mike Vick’s post prison NFL story is certainly a memorable one. What he’s done with his career (and some would say his life) after incarceration is certainly movie material. Vick is finding his groove on the field, cutting his braids off, staying out of trouble. Vick recently gave a candid interview to GQ magazine where he credits the Philadelphia Eagles with making him a much better quarterback, but said he initially thought the Cincinnati Bengals and Buffalo Bills were better options.

According to ESPN:

NFL Talking Points: Phillip Rivers, Jay Cutler, Harbaugh, Haynesworth, Dalton and More

-Norv Turner and the San Diego Chargers perpetually get out of the starting blocks slowly in September. For some reason, discussions of the top NFL quarterbacks begin and end with Tom Brady and Peyton Manning. The passing yards leader last season was none other than Phillip Rivers. The other two have been great longer, but Rivers accumulated that statistic with a lackluster receiving corps.

NFL Preseason Week One: Biggest Winners and Losers

The first week of the preseason produced many surprising standouts on some teams and left much to be desired for others. Some winning teams emerged along with players who experienced real personal wins through their outstanding performances.
