I’ve always said this is a sports news blog, not a current events blog. However, when Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain stopped in Milwaukee to do a media session with Journal-Sentinel reporters, and later visit with Green Bay Packers fans prior to their Monday night match-up with the Minnesota Vikings, Cain entered my Midwestern world and made himself a sports story.
And you can be the most right leaning, left leaning, centrist, or just plain apolitical person alive to appreciate the video coming up after the jump.
WOW!!! The unintentional comedy is off the charts here.
The former CEO of Godfather’s Pizza and restaurant lobbyist spoke to a tailgate party for a few minutes, hosted by the Friends of Herman Cain, outside Lambeau Field.
Earlier in the day he was asked a question about President Barack Obama’s foreign policy in Libya. A top aide said Cain had not had enough sleep.
Hence the train wreck that follows.
Cain’s critics point out that he has never held a public office. They got much more material than they could ever ask for in this vid.
My only comment is the Principal’s famous quote from Billy Madison
“Mr. Madison, what you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.”
